Meet the team
Robert Dullage
Partner/ Independent Financial Adviser
I began my career in Financial Services in January 1987 with Royal Life. Over the following thirteen years I worked as both an Adviser and as a Manager providing financial advice to clients and support to a team of advisers. This has helped me gain a good understanding of the financial planning market and the benefits to clients. I hold the level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
In January 2000 two colleagues and I started Harbour Financial to enable us to provide a more bespoke service to our clients. At Harbour we believe it is important to provide a broad range of financial planning services including reviewing investment and pension options, protection in the event of life’s unforeseen circumstances and reviewing mortgage options.
I enjoy helping clients understand how they can reach their financial goals and putting the plans in place to make them a reality. Many new clients are introduced via the family and friends of existing clients which is very rewarding for me as an adviser.
As a husband and father of two teenage boys I’m certainly kept busy outside of work but we still find time to enjoy sailing, family weekends away and attending motorsport events.
Sarah Williams
Partner/ Independent Financial Adviser
I joined Harbour Financial in 2012, having completed my Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning through an 18 month course alongside my previous position in recruitment. Since then, I have enjoyed developing my knowledge and experience, and am now working towards my Level 6 Chartered qualification. I became a Partner in the business in 2016, and am really enjoying developing our business to make it work even better for the future.
My favourite aspect of my role here at Harbour Financial is the relationships that I am able to develop with my clients, and I thoroughly enjoy being that trusted person that my clients are comfortable to approach. I work with people to help them plan to achieve their financial goals, be it ensuring a comfortable retirement, knowing that their family is financially protected, or buying a first home. No two days are the same here, and the variety of my work is a challenge that I thrive upon.
Outside of work, I spend time volunteering as a school governor at a local primary school – it’s always good to get a child’s view on the world. Aside from this, my partner James and I like to spend our time out and about with friends and family, taking a leisurely walk along Leigh seafront, I am also rather partial to the odd afternoon tea!
Sammy Jo Gillies
Independent Financial Adviser
I began my career in Financial Services in 2004 but have spent the last decade in various senior management and client relationship roles in a large corporate company out of the industry. It has always been my intention to return so I am excited to be back!
Outside of work, my husband and I are kept busy by our two little boys and dog, we live by the sea so are often found either on the beach, in the woods or anywhere in-between. I am also a self-proclaimed foodie and love exploring new restaurants and cuisines.
I am really looking forward to building lasting relationships and supporting my clients with their ongoing financial needs to achieve their goals.

My career in Financial Services began over 20 years ago and I have worked administration and paraplanning roles within a variety of financial services companies from large institutions to smaller sole traders.
I achieved my Financial Planning Certificate and was studying towards my Diploma in Financial Planning when I took a break from studying to have my twin daughters in 2013. Now they are getting a bit older and a lot more independent I plan to restart my studies.
Outside of work, I enjoy family time with my husband and children visiting country parks and outdoor activity centres. I am also starting to relearn the piano having had lessons in childhood.
